The church known as Deliverance Tabernacle Ministries was first founded November 1987. A small trailer was used as its first place of
worship. The owners allowed
us to use the property, rent-free. God sent so many blessings into our lives. He
sent many wonderful people who helped through the years to bring us the
beautiful facilities that we have today, debt free. While we had services in the
trailer, which allowed us to seat approximately 40 people, we needed Sunday
School classes. A family at the church allowed us to use their motor home. They
pulled the home to the property on Sunday mornings and our children were taught,
at the kitchen table, the word of God. Later, while growing, and on the same
property, the Lord blessed us with a large utility shed. Praise the Lord! Now we
have another classroom or fellowship hall. After 14 months, we needed more room.
There, again, the first day I looked, the Lord led me to the perfect facility. A
storefront was available on Highway 78, Jedburg Plaza. It was a perfect location
and lots of room. The Lord’s anointing and the many souls that we saw being won
to the Lord, we knew we were right where the Lord would have us. Here again we
grew spiritually and in number. We noticed a five-acre tract of land about 1/2
mile from our church for sale. All of this information has miracles within
themselves but time will not allow the half to be told. After the land was
purchased, we began plans to build the facility that was much needed at this
time. We have always received only one offering a week and had decided to build
as we go, and trust God. We realized that at the time the church had only
$18,000 dollars to start our project. We would just clear the property, haul in
dirt, and maybe get a foundation. After only ten months, with the labor of our
church family, we moved into the facility that you now see DEBT FREE! PRAISE
GOD! There has been much more since then, with the addition of our educational
building, the purchase of a church van, and more plans in mind. We are
expecting great and mighty works to be done, for we still have a vision. Thanks
be to God and the many wonderful families who have been a part of this ministry.
